 Siena, il Duomo Le Logge di sopra is located in the heart of the “Crete Senesi”, in a strategic position for either a quick tour or a pleasant week full of significant highlights offered by nature, history, culture, gastronomy and oenology.



San Gimignano It stands 275 m a.s.l. and 5 km from Asciano, a small town of Etruscan-Roman origin with interesting sites and a wonderful, recently opened museum with Etruscan finds and sacred art objects of the 13th century, and an Etruscan tumulus tomb. It stands 5 km from the "Site transitoire" di Jean-Paul Philippe, in Leonina.


 Siena, Piazza del CampoSiena, a city famous all over the world for its Palio (raced every year on July 2nd and August 16th) and its wonderful medieval palazzos (like the Town Hall in the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, the majestic 13th century Cathedral, the Picture Gallery, the Museo dell’Opera Metropolitana, the Santa Maria della Scala) is only 17 km away.



Montalcino San Gimignano, a real jewel of medieval architecture and art, is 65 km away. We are 110 km from Florence, 35 km from Montalcino (renowned for its Brunello wine), 37 km from Pienza (inside the Orcia natural park, very interesting for its Renaissance architecture, but also known for its local products, in particular its pecorino cheese), and 130 km from Pisa.

Some beautiful abbeys are open to visitors: Monte Oliveto Maggiore (13 km away), a suggestive abbey of the 1400’s with a beautiful Romanesque-Gothic church, a cloister with frescos by Sodoma and Signorelli, narrating the life of Saint Benedict, whore motto "ora et labora" guides the life of Benedictine monks), Sant’ Antimo and San Galgano (famous fr the sword in the rock).



Siena There are also thermal baths, always open, even in winter (in Rapolano Terme, only 15 km away). Other thermal baths in the vicinity are Bagno Vignoni and Bagni di Petriolo. Those who love skiing can reach the slopes of Mount Amiata (1,800 m a.s.l.), where enjoyment is guaranteed! These are just some of the places that can be reached in less that one hour...
